Description

Are you ready to inspire and support young learners as they take on exciting new challenges in their education?

We’re seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, ambitious primary school in Havering. This role offers the chance to work closely with pupils aged 7–11, helping them build confidence, master key skills, and prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.

What Makes This Role Special

In Key Stage 2, no two days are the same—one moment you could be helping pupils tackle tricky maths problems, the next you might be supporting a creative writing project, a science experiment, or a lively class debate. You’ll play a vital part in encouraging curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging, interactive lessons.

• Providing 1:1 and small group support, including for pupils with SEN.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and active participation.

• Assisting with preparation of resources and maintaining an organised classroom.

• Helping pupils develop independence, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children in KS2 or upper primary.

• A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to learning.

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

Perks & Benefits

• Competitive daily rate (£85–£100).

• Term-time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm) for great work-life balance.

• Supportive, friendly staff team and excellent training opportunities.

• A chance to make a tangible difference in a thriving Havering school.
