Are you passionate about supporting young learners at the start of their educational journey? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their enthusiastic team. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children aged 5–7, helping them build strong foundations for future learning.

You’ll work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential. The role will involve assisting with classroom activities, small-group interventions, and one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 across literacy, numeracy, and creative lessons.

• Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.

• Helping to create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere.

• Encouraging children’s confidence, curiosity, and love of learning.

Who We’re Looking For

• A motivated and caring individual with a genuine passion for education.

• Experience working with children in a primary or SEN setting is highly desirable.

• A proactive team player with excellent communication skills.

• Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude are essential!

Why Join This School?

This forward-thinking Islington school is proud of its strong sense of community, collaborative ethos, and commitment to staff development. You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team who value professional growth and wellbeing.

If you’re eager to inspire young minds and start (or continue) a rewarding career in education, we’d love to hear from you!
