About the Role

As Information Hub Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of the campus and the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. You’ll play a key role in delivering essential information, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring everyone feels informed and supported. This is a varied role that requires excellent time management, prioritisation skills, and a calm, professional approach.

What You'll Do:

Greet students, staff, and guests at the Campus Information Hub desk, creating a warm and professional first impressionMaintain a clean, organised, and well-presented reception areaIssue and monitor ID cards for students, staff, and visitors, and maintain accurate visitor recordsRespond to enquiries in person, by phone, and via email, triaging effectively and directing them to appropriate resourcesLiaise with campus departments to ensure the Information Hub remains a reliable and up-to-date resourceSupport administrative teams with a range of tasks, including typing letters, managing student forms, booking auditions, and handling postMonitor and authorise student absences via online formsMaintain the telephone system and report any issuesKeep the storage room behind the Information Hub desk tidy and organisedAssist with general office duties to support the Information Hub Supervisor and wider administrative processes

What You'll Bring:

A good level of general education, including English and MathsPrevious experience in a customer service and/or administrative roleExcellent telephone manner and ability to manage high call volumesStrong time-keeping, organisational, and prioritisation skillsProfessional personal presentation and communication skillsFriendly, empathetic attitude with a proactive approach to student supportAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamComputer literacy, accuracy, and attention to detailAbility to remain calm and composed under pressureDesirable: experience working with diverse clientele, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with using computer databases

Working hours for this role are 9:45am to 6:15pm (with a one-hour lunch break) during term time, and 9:00am to 5:30pm (with a one-hour lunch break) outside of term time.
