Horticulture Lecturer - SEN College (Lincoln)

Start: September | Lincoln | 1 day per week (Thursdays)

£150 - £160 per day | Long-term, ongoing opportunity

We are currently seeking an inspiring and hands-on Horticulture Lecturer to join a specialist Special Educational Needs (SEN) college in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong horticulture experience who is passionate about supporting learners to develop practical skills, confidence, and independence in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Role

You will deliver engaging horticulture sessions to learners with a range of additional needs, helping them develop both practical gardening skills and transferable life skills. This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a real difference every week.

1 day per week (Thursdays only)

Fully resourced with all lesson plans provided

Focus on practical, outdoor, skills-based learning

1:1 and small group learner support

What You'll Be Doing

* Delivering practical horticulture-based learning sessions

* Supporting learners on a 1:1 and small group basis

* Following pre-prepared lesson plans while adapting to learner needs

* Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence

* Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

* Helping learners build employability and life skills

About You

* Strong, proven experience in horticulture or gardening-related work (essential)

* Teaching, training, or mentoring experience desirable

* QTS not required - industry experience is key

* Experience supporting learners with additional needs is highly desirable

* Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about hands-on learning

* Confident working in outdoor/practical environments
