Description

Are you ready to take your classroom skills to the next level?

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant, inclusive primary school in the heart of Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, making a genuine difference in the lives of children every single day.

Why This Role is Special

You won’t just be supporting lessons—you’ll be leading them. As an HLTA, you’ll step into a more autonomous role, working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging, creative learning experiences that spark curiosity and boost confidence. This school celebrates individuality, fosters creativity, and provides a warm, community-focused environment where staff feel valued and supported.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering planned lessons across EYFS–KS2 in the teacher’s absence.

• Supporting individual and small group learning to raise attainment.

• Using your initiative to create interactive, inclusive learning environments.

• Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure pupil success.

• Contributing to the wider school community through events, clubs, and enrichment activities.

We’d Love to Hear from You if You Are…

• A qualified HLTA (or have relevant Level 4/above qualifications).

• Experienced across primary key stages, with a flexible, can-do attitude.

• Skilled in engaging children of all abilities, including those with SEN.

• A confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Perks & Benefits

• Competitive daily rate (£100–£120).

• Term-time working (8:30am – 3:30pm) for better work-life balance.

• Ongoing CPD and professional growth opportunities.

• Be part of a diverse, forward-thinking Hackney school community.
