Graphics & Digital Media Teacher – Sixth Form College in Southampton Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Part–Time Long–Term Temporary Assignment

Hours: Approximately 18 hours per week

Duration: Until at least December, with the potential for extension

Pay: GBP175 – GBP260 per day (dependent on experience)

Position Overview A highly regarded sixth form college in Southampton is seeking a Graphics & Digital Media Teacher to join their creative faculty on a part–time basis as soon as possible.

This long–term opportunity will involve teaching A–Level and Level 3 Digital Media/Graphics–related courses for approximately 18 hours per week. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that develop their creative, digital and visual communication skills while preparing them for further study and careers within the creative industries.

The role is expected to continue until at least December, with the possibility of being extended beyond this point.

The college's Digital Media provision enables students to gain a thorough understanding of the media industry through areas such as media production, advertising, web design, visual communication and digital content creation. Students also have opportunities to develop industry–relevant skills using professional software packages and benefit from links with employers and enrichment activities.

What You Will Be Doing Teaching A–Level and Level 3 Graphics/Digital Media coursesPlanning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learnersSupporting students in developing skills in digital design, media production and creative communicationTeaching elements such as media analysis, digital content creation, advertising, visual design and project–based coursework (url removed) Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedbackPreparing students for examinations and coursework deadlinesCreating a positive and inclusive learning environmentContributing to departmental planning and student success What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant post–16 teaching qualificationExperience teaching Digital Media, Graphics, Media Studies or related creative subjectsStrong knowledge of creative industry practices and digital technologiesExperience delivering Level 3 or A–Level qualifications is desirableExcellent classroom management and communication skillsPassion for developing students' creative abilities and career aspirationsCommitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing What's on Offer Competitive daily pay based on experienceLong–term assignment with stability through to at least DecemberPotential for contract extensionFlexible part–time timetable of approximately 18 hours per weekSupportive and collaborative teaching environmentExcellent facilities and creative resourcesOpportunity to teach motivated post–16 learners preparing for university and industry pathways Interested?
