Graduate Teaching Assistant

A high achieving Secondary School in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham are looking to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants to start in September 2025.

The School

This Community school located in the borough of Barking & Dagenham, are looking to recruit a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Through a large investment, the school has recently completed their rebuild and the facilities are fantastic.

This larger than average school are very supportive of their staff, and are always trying to better there expertise. Having been graded Good in their last Ofsted, it was stated that "Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them to contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfil."

The school has great public transport links nearby with a railway station and tube station both only a 10 minute walk from the school.

Graduate Teaching Assistant

As well as joining a very successful school, you will also become part of a fantastic department. You will be working alongside a very supportive team who work very hard to ensure that each and every student is encouraged to reach their individual potential. You will be required to provide support, at an outstanding level, for pupils, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils. You will be working with a group of children across all subject areas. You will have the opportunity work very closely with the SENDCO and class teachers to ensure that all children are given the required support to ensure they are reaching their individual goals. The school are looking for a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025, covering a range of subject areas. They would require you to be able to commit for the full academic year.

The right applicant for this Graduate Teaching Assistant position will:

Be Degree qualified

Be keen to go on to complete your teaching qualification

Have a passion for helping young people excel

Have experience working with secondary school aged students (Preferable)
