About the Role

Position: Year 2 Teacher

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Contract: Full–time, permanent (term time + INSET days)

Salary: MPS1 to MPS6 (dependent on experience)

As the new Year 2 Class Teacher, you'll deliver engaging, child–centred lessons and provide a nurturing classroom environment that supports pupils' academic and personal development.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), has a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching practices, uses creativity and reflection to enhance classroom experiences, builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families, understands and supports pupil wellbeing and emotional development, has excellent spoken and written English and sound Maths knowledge, and is able to fully engage with the life of the school and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver exciting, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' needs. Track and assess pupil progress effectively. Foster a learning environment that promotes independence and resilience. Work in partnership with colleagues, leadership, and parents/carers. Engage with wider school initiatives including extracurricular opportunities.
