Description
Are you a recent graduate or a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference? Tradewind is excited to partner with leading SEMH schools in Scunthorpe to find passionate and empathetic individuals to join them for the upcoming 2025/26 academic year. These are full-time roles running for the entire academic year, offering a direct pathway into a career that truly changes lives.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in an SEMH setting, you'll provide crucial one-on-one and small group support to students with complex needs. Your role is designed to be immersive, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the school environment. You will be welcomed with a robust induction, and benefit from the guidance of experienced mentors and a supportive Senior Leadership Team who are committed to your professional growth.
On-the-job training is a key part of this opportunity, ensuring you have the skills and confidence to succeed. As a valued member of the Tradewind team, you'll also gain free access to every course on the National College after your first day, empowering you to continuously develop your expertise.
No prior experience in an SEMH setting is required, but we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate immense patience, resilience, and a naturally nurturing approach.
What we are looking for:
A genuine passion for supporting the well-being and progress of young people with SEMH needs.
A degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
A flexible, proactive, and can-do attitude.
Willingness to go the extra mile to help students overcome barriers to learning and flourish.
