General Teaching Assistant - South East London
Location: South East London
Daily Rate: £100-£117 per day
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time / Supply
Start Date: ASAP
The Role
Remedy Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic, reliable and motivated General Teaching Assistants to work across schools in South East London.
We have a range of opportunities available, whether you're looking for full-time work, part-time hours or flexible supply placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive difference to pupils' learning and development.
We are looking for proactive candidates who can support classroom teachers, help pupils stay engaged and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
Helping pupils understand tasks and stay focused during lessons.
Preparing classroom resources and assisting with learning activities.
Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil participation.
Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Creating a safe, supportive and engaging classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
A positive, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
A flexible and reliable approach to work.
A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
