Daily Supply Teacher – Camden

Location: Camden, Central London

Contract: Part-time, temporary and flexible

Start date: From 1 September 2026

Pay: £145–£175 per day, dependent on experience and assignment

Key stages: EYFS, KS1 and KS2

Looking for the variety of primary teaching with greater control over your diary?

Teach Now is expanding its team of reliable Daily Supply Teachers for primary schools across Camden. Whether you want two days each week, regular bookings around other commitments or a flexible route back into teaching, we will work with your availability.

Assignments may range from planned bookings to morning cover. You could teach Reception one day and Year 5 the next, so this opportunity is particularly well suited to adaptable teachers who quickly understand a school’s routines and establish a purposeful classroom.

What Daily Supply Involves

Delivering work prepared by the class teacher or school

Maintaining positive behaviour and established classroom expectations

Adapting explanations and activities where pupils need additional support

Ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged and productive throughout the day

Working constructively with teaching assistants and support staff

Providing a clear handover on learning, behaviour and any concerns

Following each school’s safeguarding, marking and operational procedures

Representing yourself and Teach Now with professionalism

Who We Would Like to Hear From

You must have:

Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school

Secure understanding of at least one primary phase

Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills

The ability to follow plans and adapt confidently when circumstances change

Professional reliability and good timekeeping

The right to work in the UK

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Two satisfactory professional references

Experience across more than one primary phase, including EYFS, is highly desirable.

Why Choose Supply in Camden?

Flexible work that fits around your availability

Access to a broad mix of community schools, academies and specialist provisions

No routine planning burden for standard daily-cover assignments

Opportunities to discover schools before considering a longer-term position

The option to accept or decline bookings

Potential for repeat work in schools where you build strong relationships
