Description

Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School

Location: Hillingdon, UB4 (Commutable from Hayes, Uxbridge, Ruislip, West Drayton, Harrow, Ealing)

Pay: £95 - £110 per day

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Do you have the skills to support young people in secondary education who need extra guidance with behaviour, focus, and emotional regulation?

Long Term Futures is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hillingdon to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour support, youth work, or pastoral care who is passionate about helping young people thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

Provide consistent one-to-one and small group mentoring for pupils displaying SEMH or challenging behaviours

Support students within lessons and during unstructured times such as transitions, break, and lunch

Implement positive behaviour management strategies to improve focus and engagement

Keep accurate records of progress and contribute to behaviour support plans

Work alongside teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver a joined-up approach

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people in a behaviour, pastoral, or SEN capacity

Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies

Calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to supporting young people

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
