Behaviour Mentor

Location: Nottingham (NG5)

Pay: 90 – 100 per day (PAYE)

Contract Type: Full–time Long–term with the potential to become permanent

Start Date: September 2025

Long Term Futures are working with a specialist alternative provision in the Sherwood area of Nottingham that supports students in Key Stage 3 and 4 who are unable to access mainstream education. This provision is looking to welcome a committed and consistent Behaviour Mentor to join their team and support pupils with behavioural and emotional difficulties.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people develop positive routines, rebuild confidence and make progress both in and out of the classroom.

Your Role Will Include:

Offering 1:1 support to students needing help managing their behaviour and emotional regulationImplementing personalised behaviour plans and adjusting them as neededEncouraging engagement with learning through positive reinforcement and relationship–buildingAssisting with the development of social and emotional skills to support lifelong successWorking alongside staff to create structured, safe routines for studentsMonitoring student progress and contributing to regular reviews of interventions

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEN or SEMHMay come from an education, youth work, care or support backgroundIs calm, reliable, and confident in de–escalating situations when neededCan build strong, positive relationships and be a trusted adult figureIs proactive and team–focused
