Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the wider school to foster a rich and interdisciplinary learning environment. Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and keep abreast of current developments in physics and pedagogy, with a strong focus on A–Level teaching and assessment. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Physics or a closely related highly relevant scientific/engineering field. Successful and demonstrable experience teaching Physics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and, crucially, A–Level. A strong and up–to–date understanding of the A–Level Physics curriculum and relevant examination specifications. Exceptional pedagogical skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, particularly the academic rigour and depth required at Key Stage 5. A profound passion for Physics and the ability to inspire and stretch students' critical thinking, analytical, and practical skills. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. A steadfast commitment to the safeguarding and well–being of students and the promotion of scientific understanding within our vibrant Southampton community.
