Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? A warm and inclusive primary special school in Wavertree is seeking two enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team.

This ‘Good’ Primary school offers a calm, safe and vibrant setting, every child is supported to learn, grow and thrive at their own pace. The dedicated staff team is highly skilled, compassionate and collaborative, working together to ensure every pupil achieves their personal best.

The Role

As a 1:1 TA, you’ll play an essential role in supporting pupils both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will help your child build confidence, develop communication skills and foster independence, ensuring they always feel valued and understood. No two days are the same—you’ll join a team that celebrates every step forward, both big and small.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with a variety of SEN needs

* Assist teachers with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

* Implement individual education plans and behaviour support strategies

* Create and maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed

* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents and outside professionals

The Ideal Candidate

* Has experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary or special school setting

* Is patient, empathetic, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator

* Shows flexibility and creativity in supporting learning

* Is committed to inclusion and passionate about helping every child reach their xjnqpsq full potential
