Description
Location: Putney
Hours: A couple of hours per week
Rate: £18 per hour
Position: Self-employed
DBS: Must be DBS vetted
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and engaging self-employed visitor to provide regular companionship and social support to an older gentleman with significant health problem, based in Putney.
He is an intelligent and interesting person with a particular interest in history, and would enjoy having someone to chat with and share conversation and interests.
The ideal person We are looking for someone who is:
Warm, friendly and reliable A good conversationalist and listener Interested in history, the arts and current affairs Comfortable spending time with an older person Ideally has some experience of visiting, befriending or supporting older people Able to commit to regular weekly visits Self-employed DBS vetted This is a companionship and visiting role rather than a traditional care position. The emphasis is on providing friendly company, conversation and helping someone remain socially connected and engaged.
£18 per hour, self-employed.
