We’re looking for a patient, understanding and supportive Personal Assistant to work alongside a young adult with ADHD, autistic burnout, severe sensory overload and depression.

The role will focus on gently building trust, helping to establish daily routines, offering encouragement with personal care, cleaning and keeping living space comfortable, tidy, safe and hygienic as well as dispensing daily medication (tablet form only).

They enjoy gaming and building computers and would be keen to explore these interests further when the time feels right.

The ideal PA will be calm, motivating and resilient with a working knowledge of autistic burnout, with the ability to offer positive encouragement and help build confidence over time. The aim is to support the individual to feel more independent, improve their wellbeing, become more involved in the community, and live safely and confidently with increasing autonomy.

Client does smoke and has a prescription for medical cannabis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can offer steady, compassionate support and help make a meaningful difference to the individual’s confidence, independence and everyday life.

Duties include:

- Medication prompting/administering

- Personal grooming

- Eating and drinking assistance

- Other relevant duties as required

- Administration

- Housekeeping

- Companionship

- Dressing / undressing

- Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Able to tolerate the employer smoking in the workplace

- Reliable with good timekeeping

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Creative

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

- Happy to work in a smoking environment

Notes:

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required. If the role is offered on a self-employed basis, you will be responsible for the cost of your own DBS check.
