Description
These are excellent NAS machines.
- low power consumption
- the HDD are the very large part of the power usage (you should set the OS to spin down the disks when not in use)
- for many years the machine of choice for enthusiasts (as a NAS, not a games machine)

- Bios 041 (the latest available for these machines)
- 8Gb memory / 1.3Ghz processor
- 1Gb Ethernet
- 5 x 2TB HDD all WD Nasware, so designed for long term use with a NAS
- multiple front & rear USB sockets (and 1 internal)
please note the normally fitted CD drive has been replaced by the 5th drive
Ubuntu 26.04 (has been installed temporarily, to check everything is working)
- I've been running Unraid on it for a long time - but this would require a licence
- It can run an Intel based 86 OS of your choice (definitely not windows 11, haven't checked other Windows variants)
- I suggest if you're not familiar with installing OS this is not for you

- I think the PSU has failed (I've not tested it since it failed years ago, and I had to replace it as my backup machine)
- no disks
- otherwise intact and spec as above

it will be quite heavy and expensive for a delivery company (and HDD don't like being dropped heavily)
