Stock Controller Your new company

Hays are working with a well-established business who are looking to a organised and detail-focused Stock Controller to join our Supply Chain team. This role is critical in supporting best practice procurement, inventory control, and stock management activities across the business.The Stock Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing stock movements, supporting purchasing activity, and ensuring system accuracy. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operational flow and effective supplier management.

Your new role

As Stock Controller your role will involve:

Maintain accurate stock records and ensure inventory integrity at all times.Raise purchase requests for stock in line with demand and stock requirements.Process stock movements accurately within the internal system.Expedite supplier orders to meet operational needs.Ensure order confirmations are accurate and followed up where required.Receive and check deliveries against delivery notes to ensure accuracy.Process and record component and raw material returns.Communicate closely with the Purchasing Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels.Monitor and manage supplier performance.Ensure full adherence to company health and safety procedures.Support the Purchasing Team in identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.What you'll need to succeed

Strong numerical and analytical skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Confident interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organisational and time management abilities.Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team.Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of documentation.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Previous experience using SAP Business One is desirable but not essential.Experience in stock control, supply chain, logistics, or a similar environment is advantageous.
