Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Operations Administrator to join a busy and growing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a varied role supporting both logistics and purchasing functions, requiring excellent administration skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics

Coordinate courier, pallet, haulage and specialist transport bookingsTrack deliveries and obtain proof of delivery documentationInvestigate delivery issues, shortages, damages and service failuresLiaise with customers, suppliers, transport providers and internal teamsMaintain transport records and operational documentationSupport logistics reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

Purchasing

Produce stock replenishment and purchasing reportsMonitor purchase orders and chase outstanding deliveriesSupport supplier administration and maintain accurate recordsAssist with inventory checks and stock management activitiesInvestigate stock discrepancies and support corrective actionsMaintain purchasing data and system information

About You

Previous administration experienceStrong organisational skills and attention to detailConfident communicator, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and ExcelAble to multitask and prioritise workloads effectivelyProactive, reliable and eager to learnCustomer-focused with a professional approachAble to work independently and as part of a team
