Description
One of my local government clients is seeking a Administrator to join their Business Support Team , providing essential support to departments across the Council.
Our Business Support Team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality administrative, clerical and financial assistance to ensure the smooth running of Council services.
A typical day in this role may include:
Opening and distributing post
Answering and directing calls from members of the public
Processing applications and maintaining records
Arranging interviews and meetings
Paying invoices and managing financial documentation
Updating systems, databases and processes
About You
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a busy administrative environment. You will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Essential Skills and Experience
Previous experience working within a local authority or Council environment this is essential or highly desirable
Proven experience in administration and customer service roles
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Working Pattern
This position is part-time, working 24 hours per week, across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The specific working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate and will fall within standard office hours.
