Description
The best one to one music lessons at competitive prices, with Silverwood Music School's proven and inspirational teaching methods. Music lessons offered to all pupils irrespective of age, ability or culture. Facilities include a comfortable and welcoming music studio, a waiting room and toilet facilities .
Music lessons are offered in the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Ukulele, Recorder, Saxophone, Violin, Singing and Music Theory. Help is also offered with GCSE Music exams.
Our head of Centre is Claire Pashley. Claire Pashley’s unique and highly acclaimed teaching methods have been so well regarded that she was awarded the enviable position of Chief Examiner with the prestigious Victoria College in 2012. Her published tutor books in keyboard, singing, piano and early learning are sold worldwide in countries as far as Sri Lanka, Malta and Ireland. Claire was awarded an MBE in the 2020 New Years Honours List.
With Claire’s proven and inspirational teaching methods you are guaranteed a top quality service from the beginning right up to achieving a teaching diploma. All lessons are uniquely geared to pupils’ specific needs. This is supported with the philosophy that all pupils can achieve irrespective of age, ability or background. Our aim at Silverwood Music School is to encourage and therefore our music school offers many varied opportunities for learning including expert tuition for Special Needs, and special classes for young beginners. We also have many retired adult pupils who are learning a musical intrument for the first time.
Other members of the teaching staff at Silverwood Music School are Craig Wolstenholme (MA) who specialises in help for pupils leading to GCSE examinations and music theory. He also is our brass specialist but also teaches the keyboard and the piano. Cathy Hamlyn (MA) is our ABRSM specialist and offers lessons in piano, flute, violin and Saxophone. Martin Tune (AVCM) is our guitar specialist, a professional guitar player and also a music examiner.
