Description

HR Officer required to support an established Charity, working 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday. The final package salary is 40,000 with a base salary of 37,000 and 3000 London weighting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with all-round HR experience, with natural energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on attitude, to lead the HR team. As HR Officer, you will have a HR Assistant as a direct report, and together, will engage and support employees and the organisation in all aspects of Human Resources.

Please note there is no hybrid working.

Should the selected candidate be unemployed currently, the client may wish to start the individual on a temp to perm basis.

Duties:

Support department heads with recruitment and selectionEnsure a compliant and smooth onboarding and induction process for new startersUpdate and maintain HR records ensuring correct policies are followedManaging employee relations, acting as a point of contact for staff enquiries, advising managers on company policies, and mediating in grievancesMonitor and support Managers with performance, attendance, sickness records, process leave requests, and assisting with performance reviewsMaintain and implement compliance and policiesPrepare employment contracts and offer lettersInput staff payroll, calculate annual leave entitlement, yearly bonuses and salary increasesOrganise and coordinate potential staff training sessionsManaging employee exits and termination paperworkAttend, and assist with events held by the organisationMentor and support the HR Assistant to enable the team to work as productively as possible

An effective communicator with a high level of confidentiality and diplomacyPrevious HR experience, ideally in a HR Coordinator, Officer, Advisor level roleCIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is essentialStrong computer literacy to include Microsoft Excel and WordA natural communicator, approachable, with strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management skillsAbility to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasksPlease bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
