Job Description
I am looking for a reliable, caring, and practical Mother’s Help to support my family on a self-employed, flexible basis. This role would suit a non-working mum, nanny, or similar looking for part-time work that fits around family life.
The role involves after-school childcare, dog care, and full household support, helping me keep my home calm, organised, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Child Care:
Collect my 6-year-old child from school in Ringwood
Provide supervision, support, and engaging activities at home until I return home from work.
Help with routines, snacks, and homework as needed
Dog Walking & Care:
Walk my friendly 3-year-old Boxer
General pet care as required
Household Management & Cleaning:
Full household cleaning, including:
Bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas
Vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting
Laundry, ironing, folding clothes
Helping organise the home and keep it tidy
Hours & Flexibility
Morning: Take child from Romsey to Ringwood school 3-5 days a week
Daytime: Walk the dog a few times a week if my day is too busy, perform a full household clean once a week (day flexible to be agreed)
Afternoon: Collect child from Ringwood school 3-5 days a week, return to Romsey, and provide childcare for approximately 2 hours
Ideal for someone local seeking a part-time, family-friendly self-employed role
Employment Status:
This role is offered on a self-employed / freelance basis. The successful candidate will invoice weekly or monthly, with the frequency to be confirmed during the recruitment process. Please note, this is not an employee position.

Is a mum, nanny, or has experience in the childcare industry
Is trustworthy, organised, and friendly
Enjoys working with children and animals
Is confident with full household cleaning duties
Is a reliable driver with their own reliable vehicle with the relevant insurance
Enhanced DBS
First Aid knowledge desirable
Pay & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate £16 – £20/hour, depending on experience and duties

Mileage reimbursement for school runs 25p per mile
