Preschool Practitioner / Teacher

Due to an increase in child numbers, we are looking for:1 x part time Practitioner (minimum 20 hours per week)

Term Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £12.45 per hour (which is increasing in April 2026)

Kingfishers Colden Common Preschool has a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking person to join our well-established friendly team. We are located in a village (SO21 1UU); we are a trustee run preschool (charity) that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the development of young children. We provide high-quality education and care for children 2 - 4 years old. They can enjoy time spent in our well-resourced indoor space as well as our fantastic garden area. We also run weekly forest school sessions at our allotment, just a short walk away from the setting.

We are open on weekdays, 8.30 - 3pm, term time only.

We are looking for someone who:

*A keenness to learn

*Is interested in gaining a childcare qualification and undergoing relevant training.

*Is an enthusiastic, motivated and friendly team member who values the impact of learning through play.

*IT competent*Enjoys working outside.

*Is understanding of children with additional or special educational needs.

*Someone who is able to be flexible with their working hours between the times of 7.45-3.30pm

Qualifications:

You will ideally be Level 3 qualified or above
