The Peugeot 306 Rallye is one of those rare modern classics that enthusiasts instantly understand.
Lightweight, focused and wonderfully analogue, the Rallye stripped away unnecessary luxuries and concentrated purely on the driving experience. The result was one of the finest handling front-wheel-drive hot hatches ever produced. A car still spoken about with huge affection by those lucky enough to have driven one properly. Finding one today is difficult.
Finding one that remains original-looking and supported by a comprehensive history is harder still.
And with just 501 UK Rallye examples produced, only around 200 finished in Cherry Red, these cars are now firmly on collectors' radar. Recent market interest has seen exceptional examples achieve remarkable figures, including a delivery-mileage car selling for over £45,000.
