Service Care Legal are working alongside a local authority based in South East London looking for a Legal Assistant to join the property law team on an initial six-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant community-centric projects.

ROLE: Legal Assistant – Residential Property Law

LOCATION: South East London / Hybrid

CONTRACT: Initial 6-Month Contract with Scope for Extension, 36 hours per week

RATE: £22.63ph umbrella / £20.31ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £18.12ph PAYE exc. holiday pay

Please note that this role would require office attendance a minimum of 2 times per week.

About the Role:

Handle residential property matters, including lease extensions, Right to Buy schemes, collective enfranchisements, and straightforward property transactions

Support case management and ensure smooth case progression

Be office-based at least two days per week to facilitate teamwork and client interactionCandidate Requirements:

Proven residential property law experience is essential

Ideally, prior work within local authority or public sector xjnqpsq environments

Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail

Excellent communication and professional demeanour
