Now retired after a 35 year professional career in sport, Physical Education, after dinner public speaking and Master of Ceremonies duties.

Delighted to be enjoying more time in retirement to further focus on emcee, hosting, compere and Toastmaster opportunities at a wide range of events which include corporate functions, charity daytime fundraisers, fundraising evenings and balls, presentation and awards events, sporting dinners, golf days and live auctions. I am presently the match day lounge host at a Premier League winning North West professional football club (guess which one!!).

In addition, I am a fully trained Toastmaster offering red jacketed ''style with a smile', able to conduct duties in both formal and non formal settings including civic functions and weddings. As a fully subscribed member of the highly acclaimed Northern Guild of Toastmasters, this professional agency recognises those personnel who demonstrate the highest of standards in terms of excellence, quality and professionalism.

Hi mark, I don’t know where to even start with this message and please know I’m sat here sobbing as I’m writing this. From the chat we had one Tuesday we knew we were going to get on so well and the role of toastmaster for us as a couple had been given to the right man. But the day started and continued right through the calmest most beautiful day we could have wished for and I know you think you had only a small part to play in our day but it was all down to you! We knew we were in safe hands and you would lead the way which helped us both just enjoy what most would find a stressful morning/ afternoon. You honestly are a blessing and we can not thank you enough for holding our day together the way you did and supporting us through the happiest day of our lives. You are someone we are just never ever going to forget. Not only our words but all the guests said you were and are amazing. Thank you so so much. We are two extremely lucky people to have had you share our day with us. ❤️

Marks contribution as Master of Ceremonies at our recent event ‘double or nothing’ for domestic abuse held at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel was nothing short of outstanding. Mark played a vital role in the overall success of the evening. From the outset, he captured the theme and tone of the event with remarkable precision, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and a warm, personal approach. His delivery was entirely natural and free-flowing, requiring no notes - just genuine presence and a clear talent for connecting with people. He instinctively knew how to read the room, getting on the level of our guests in a way that made everyone feel at ease, welcomed, and engaged throughout the evening. The smooth flow of the evening was seamlessly managed under his guidance, with each transition handled with finesse. His confident, calm, and charismatic approach ensured the night progressed effortlessly, with humour, elegance, and the perfect touch of informality. It is no exaggeration to say that the success of the evening with significantly leveraged by his abilities as a host.
