Icom IC-M424G Marine VHF GPS/DSC Radio – Pristine Condition – Fault Disclosed

Description

Icom IC-M424G fixed-mount marine VHF radio with built-in GPS and Class D DSC. A quality marine radio in pristine cosmetic condition that works perfectly for standard VHF radio use, with one exception disclosed below.

Ideal for a boat owner looking for a quality Icom VHF radio who does not need to connect an optional remote command microphone.

Features

- Built-in GPS receiver.
- Class D DSC digital selective calling and distress functionality, subject to MMSI reprogramming.
- 25W / 1W selectable transmit power.
- Active noise cancelling.
- IPX7 water protection.
- NMEA 0183 connectivity for compatible marine electronics.
- Standard handset microphone with coiled cable.

Condition
The radio itself is in pristine condition and works perfectly, with one specific limitation:

Remote command microphone port fault: The connection port for an optional remote command microphone does not work. The radio was replaced for this reason. This does not affect its normal operation using the supplied handset microphone, but the remote microphone cannot be used through this port.

Please consider this limitation before purchasing.

Important MMSI information
The existing vessel MMSI has not been cleared from the radio. The buyer will need to arrange for the MMSI to be cleared or reprogrammed by an authorised service provider before using DSC with their own vessel identity. Please check the process and any associated cost before purchase.
