Description
South East LDN based jangly, power-pop group looking for a committed full time bass player for shows & recording.
• Repertoire of songs spanning two EPS, singles released on DIY labels and albums of material written and ready to record as soon as possible
• We're looking for someone who is tight, tasteful with a sense of playing what suits the song and can lock-in with the rest of the group. Our songs aren't complex musically but for the right bassist they're perfect for letting groove and Jesus take the wheel.
• Influences: Big Star, Television, Dylan (Blonde On Blonde, Basement Tapes, New Morning, Desire) , Teenage Fanclub, Felt, CSNY, The Byrds, Postcard Records, The Pastels, The Replacements, The MC5, Laura Nyro, Harry Nilsson, Love, Leonard Cohen, NME86, The Zombies, Silver Jews, Nuggets Compilation, Lou Reed & The Velvets.
• We love rock songs and have a good time when we play, however we are also cursed with the Sisyphean, rock n roll death drive that inexorably compels us to get good. We want to practice regularly and we want to be tight. Expectation is once a week practice in Peckham + availability to play shows regularly in the evenings.
