The Roland S-760 is a legendary rackmount sampler known for its warm sound, deep editing capabilities, and surprisingly compact 1U format. This one comes fully intact and powers on as shown, with a clean display and front panel in good condition. It’s waiting on a system disk to get rolling, so you’ll want to supply your own boot disk or OS files to get into full operation mode.
As one of Roland’s most refined samplers of the era, the S-760 delivers 16-bit stereo sampling with up to 32MB of RAM (depending on installed expansion), plus digital I/O and optional SCSI support for external drives. The front-panel controls offer direct access to common functions, but the full power of the unit really comes alive when used with an external monitor and mouse—giving you an early GUI-style editor long before software samplers were the norm.
