The Yamaha KX88 is a legendary MIDI controller, built like a tank and renowned for its superb weighted 88-note keyboard action. Originally released in 1984, it quickly became a favorite among professional musicians for studio and stage use.

This example plays well but electronics need some minor attention (these don’t interfere with core functionality). One key is damaged but repairable. Cosmetically, some surfaces show a little sign of ageing but otherwise excellent.

The KX88 doesn’t generate sounds on its own – it’s a dedicated controller – but its playability and feel are why it’s still highly regarded today. A real piece of Yamaha history and a professional-grade tool for serious players.
