Description
Lovely little 8cm x 8cm posy vase by Vera Tollow, fab condition apart from one teeny chip on side of top (see last photo) barely noticeable, hence price, possibly 1950's.
A beautiful Green and white slipware posy vase by Vera Tollow. A very unusual colour and such a unique piece of slipware.
Tollow trained at Croydon School of Art and was a founder member of the Craftsman Potter's Association and Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. Her workshop was in the garden of her house in Wallington, Surrey, and later at Woodcote and Hawkhurst, Kent. She exhibited very widely, and appeared in every issue of POTTERS up to the 7th one in 1986.
