My name is Michael Hardy, and I am an experienced Personal Assistant and Carer with over seven years of supporting clients with diverse needs, including mental health conditions, Multiple Sclerosis, dementia, and learning difficulties.

My work has always been person-centred, with a focus on dignity, independence, and enhancing quality of life. I have worked privately as well as alongside organisations, building trust with clients and families while ensuring safe and compassionate care.

Alongside my caring background, I am the Founder and Director of Groovestar Music School CIC, where I teach piano, trumpet, and music theory, and also deliver music in therapeutic contexts. I am now preparing to undertake a Masters in Music Therapy, which will enable me to combine my professional experience in music with my caring expertise to support the emotional and developmental wellbeing of those I work with.

Advanced Safeguarding & Child Protection certification
Diploma in Counselling & Psychology (International Career Institute, 2021)
Currently studying Level 2 Counselling Skills

ATCL Principles of Instrumental Teaching (Trinity College, 2024)
Excellent communication in English, French, Italian, Swedish, and Indonesian
Full, clean UK driving licence

In addition to my caring skills, I bring creativity, patience, and strong communication. My background in music and therapy has given me unique tools for engaging people of all ages and abilities, whether through structured activities, emotional support, or daily companionship.

I am highly organised, empathetic, and able to adapt flexibly to the needs of each individual.
