Personal Assistant / Care Support Worker – Complex Needs

Location: Falkirk

Hours: Night shifts, back shifts and some weekend work available
Permanent full-time

Pay: competitive rates, further discussion during interview.

We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant / Care Support Worker to support a 17-year-old girl with complex needs in her home and day-to-day life.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, understanding and genuinely enjoys helping young people live as independently and comfortably as possible.
The role will involve:
Providing one-to-one care and support tailored to her individual needs
Supporting with daily routines and personal care where required
Providing reassurance, companionship and emotional support
Helping to maintain a safe, calm and comfortable environment
Supporting with evening and bedtime routines
Working night shifts and back shifts, with some weekend work expected
Following care plans and guidance from the family/professional team
Communicating effectively with family members and other professionals involved in her care

We are looking for someone who is:
Kind, patient and compassionate
Reliable, trustworthy and responsible
Calm and confident when dealing with complex needs or challenging situations
Respectful of privacy, dignity and individual choice
Comfortable working independently as well as alongside family and other carers
Flexible and able to work evenings, nights and some weekends
Previous experience in care, support work or working with young people with complex needs is desirable, although the right attitude and personality are equally important.
Full training and guidance will be provided where required.
