Description

Web Experience Manager: 3-Month Contract

Location: Cambridge

Rate: £19.52 per hour

Contract: 3 months full time

We’re looking for a Web Experience Manager to take charge of a newly launched, high-profile website for a respected education organisation. You’ll keep the site running smoothly, make it easier to use and manage the agency that builds and maintains it.

What you’ll do

Look after the website day to day, keeping content accurate, accessible and compliant with data privacy and consumer law

Use Google Analytics, Hotjar and SiteImprove to spot what’s working and improve the user journey

Manage the web agency: prioritise work in Jira, agree what “done” looks like and keep an eye on the budget

Handle support tickets and fix issues quickly

Plan regular website updates with the content team, including changes that follow the academic year

Work with IT so the site connects properly with internal systems

What you’ll need

Proven experience managing a large, complex website

Experience working with web agencies, including sprints and backlogs

Hands-on experience of a CMS such as Drupal or WordPress

Experience using analytics tools and managing digital project budgets

Strong organisation, clear communication and the ability to influence stakeholders

A degree or equivalent experience, and GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade 4/C or above

It would help if you also have

Knowledge of SEO, user experience, and web accessibility standards (WCAG)

Experience in higher education or the public sector

Experience connecting websites to internal systems

This is a great short-term opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new website and make a visible difference quickly. xjnqpsq
