Description
We're recruiting experienced Welders for a major refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery, Southampton (SO45 1TX). To be considered, you'll need a recognised Level 3 Welding Diploma, evidence of BS EN ISO 9606-1 coding certification, and proven GTAW (TIG) welding experience. A valid CCNSG Safety Passport is also essential.
Start Date: 14/09/2026.
Our Welders will work on a 10-week assignment offering 60 hours per week, competitive rates, and lodge support for non-local workers.
The Role
Working as part of a refinery shutdown / turnaround team, duties will include:
GTAW (TIG) welding on 6" carbon steel pipework and associated systems, plus some stainless steel work
Working from isometrics, drawings, weld maps and site job packs
Pipe preparation, fit-up checks and weld preparation
Producing high-quality welds to refinery and client specifications
Following WPS requirements and quality procedures
Adhering to refinery safety procedures and permit-to-work systemsRequirements
Current coded welding qualifications in line with BS EN ISO 9606-1, with proven GTAW (TIG) welding experience
Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
Previous industrial site experience (refinery / shutdown experience preferred)
Ability to read and work from drawings and weld documentation
