Seeking a skilled materials Trimmer to join within an R&D capacity for a manufacturing business.

This is a precise pattern making / seat trimming environment. Relevant experience within a similar industry is required.

Rapidly growing business who have secured several high value contracts.

We are currently recruiting for a Seat Trimmer / Pattern Maker to join a growing, engineering SME. The company specializes in military seating manufacturing and have recently secured several big contracts. As a Trimmer, you will have the chance to work within a specialist R&D environment which focusses on developing patterns to design specifications. This role is hands on and builds aspects of cutting, trimming, sewing and pattern making.

Salary & Hours: c£30,000 to £35,000 as a guide. Days based role – 8:00am to 5:00pm Mon – Thurs, and a 8:00am – 1:30pm finish on a Friday. Overtime paid at x1.5. 23 days holiday + banks.

This Trimmer job will suit:

Proven experience within pattern making or trimming of upholstery materials.

*

Comfortable working from technical drawings to develop new patterns.

*

Excellent dexterity and craftsmanship to develop high quality products.

The Trimmer job will involve:

Develop and interpret seat patterns based on design specifications.

*

Cut, sew and trim upholstery materials accurately to match the seat patterns.

Operate sewing machinery to assemble seat covers and components.

*

Working closely with the design and production teams to refine pattern designs.

This job is commutable from Syston, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham.
