Description

Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Weston–Super–Mare

Salary: Up to GBP40,000 + excellent benefits

We re recruiting on behalf of a well–established automotive manufacturer that supplies components to several major vehicle brands. The company has a strong reputation for engineering quality and continuous improvement, and they re now looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team.

Benefits:

9–day working fortnight (every other Friday off)

Competitive salary up to GBP40,000

Enhanced sick pay (13 weeks full, 13 weeks half pay)

3% employer pension contribution

Factory shutdowns in August (2 weeks) and December (1 week)

This is a hands–on, varied role where you ll play a key part in maintaining quality standards, leading investigations, and ensuring compliance with recognised automotive and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve quality issues using 8D and root cause analysis.

Support NPI and APQP activities during new process development.

Lead and support internal and supplier audits.

Maintain documentation, control plans, PPAPs, and inspection processes.

Provide production support and liaise with customers and suppliers on quality concerns.

Coordinate warranty reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality.

Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and automotive quality tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).

Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing.

Skilled in CMM use, GD&T, and calibration.

Audit trained (Lead Auditor preferred).

Confident communicator with strong problem–solving and organisational skills.
