Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well–known and established manufacturer, for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quality background who takes pride in maintaining high manufacturing standards. Previous visual inspection experience within a manufacturing or production environment is essential for this role.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting manufactured products and components to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.

A key part of the position will involve carrying out detailed visual inspections, identifying defects, imperfections and non–conforming products before they progress through the manufacturing process or are released to the customer.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out detailed visual inspections of manufactured products and componentsIdentifying defects, damage, imperfections and quality issuesChecking products against drawings, specifications and agreed quality standardsCompleting in–process and final quality inspectionsRecording inspection results accurately and maintaining relevant quality documentationRaising and reporting non–conformances when requiredWorking closely with production and quality teams to resolve quality concernsEnsuring defective or non–conforming products are correctly identified and segregatedSupporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the manufacturing operationFollowing all company quality, health & safety and operating procedures The Ideal Candidate

Previous visual inspection experiencePrevious experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environmentA strong eye for detail and the ability to identify small defects or inconsistenciesA good understanding of quality standards and inspection proceduresThe ability to accurately complete inspection records and quality documentationGood communication skills and the confidence to raise quality concernsA methodical and organised approach to workThe ability to work both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team Experience using measuring or inspection equipment would be advantageous, although the key requirement is proven hands–on visual inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.
