Description

Quality Inspector – Manchester

Our client, a fast paced and growing aerospace supplier is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This role is key to ensuring the highest standards within their sheet metal and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have proven aerospace industry experience and a solid background in quality inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Approve in process and finished products, ensuring components meet customer specifications.Perform final inspections and compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).Provide feedback and coaching to operators on quality requirements.Contribute to the Material Review Board (MRB) process and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.Maintain the "no fault forward" philosophy across all inspection activities.Collaborate with other Hyde business units, clients, and suppliers across the aerospace supply chain.Support offsite work and cover for the Quality Chargehand when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience in quality inspection within Aerospace or Automotive industries.Knowledge of AS9100, FAIRs, and ISO standards (ISO9001/14001); Nadcap experience is a plus.Proficient in reading 2D/3D drawings and using inspection tools.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem–solving skills.IT literate, ideally with SAP and Microsoft Office experience.Flexible, detail oriented, and proactive, with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge advantageous.
