Quality Control InspectorLocation: BasingstokeContract: Temporary ( 6 months)

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm & Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm

Hourly Pay rate: GBP18-GBP22

Start date: 6 July 2026

Make Quality Count - From Day One

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Control Inspector to play a vital role in our manufacturing operation. This position focuses on incoming inspection of parts and machines, ensuring quality standards are met before production even begins.

You'll be at the heart of quality excellence-capturing accurate inspection data, supporting strong supplier performance, and helping maintain smooth, efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out incoming inspections on parts and machinery to confirm compliance with specificationsAccurately capture, measure, and record quality data within the workshopMaintain and support quality systems to ensure effective process controlSupport supplier quality assurance, including identifying and escalating non-conformancesConduct and document First Article Inspections (FAI)Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials to prevent production disruptionWork closely with suppliers, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues efficientlyTechnical Skills & Experience

Confident using measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometres, height gauges, test meters, and scannersStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematicsKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) - desirableUnderstanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO) and health & safety regulationsComfortable using SAP or inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications

Skills and Qualifications

Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for defects or specification issuesStrong documentation and record-keeping skills (inspection records, certificates of conformance)Clear, confident communication skills, able to work cross-functionallyA proactive, problem-solving mindset to minimise delays and maintain production flowExperience in a manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environment is highly desirableCommitment to health & safety complianceWhat We Offer
