Production Supervisor

£30,000 - £35,000 + Overtime

Monday - Friday | Day Shift

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor, Production Team Leader or Manufacturing Supervisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established manufacturing business?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation, where you will play a key role in leading a production team and ensuring daily targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on supervisory position, ideal for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, leading from the front and getting the best out of their team.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of people and production activities, working closely with the Production Manager and other departments to ensure the operation runs efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising, motivating and supporting a production team

Ensuring daily production plans and targets are achieved

Coordinating people and resources across the production operation

Monitoring productivity, quality, downtime, changeovers and waste

Supporting the Production Manager with day-to-day operational issues

Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed

Maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and GMP

Completing production and manufacturing documentation

Managing first-line employee matters including attendance, absence, holidays and performance

Conducting return-to-work discussions and team communications

Supporting the training, coaching and development of employees

Identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We're looking for someone with:

Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a manufacturing or fast-paced production environment

Strong people-management and leadership skills

The confidence to manage performance, attendance and day-to-day employee issues

Good understanding of Health & Safety

Strong communication and organisational skills

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience within FMCG or another high-volume manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

IOSH, SVQ or another relevant supervisory qualification would also be beneficial, although not essential.
