Allsteel is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our fabrication team at our workshop in Gosport.
We specialise in the fabrication and installation of high-quality architectural steelwork, and we are looking for a skilled and reliable operative who takes pride in producing work to a high standard and wants to become part of an established, hardworking team.
The Role
Working within our busy fabrication shop, you will be involved in the manufacture of a wide range of architectural steelwork, including:
Fabrication of mild steel and aluminium components
Architectural staircases and structural steelwork
Balustrades, handrails and associated steelwork
Reading and working from drawings and fabrication details
MIG and MMA welding
Preparing, fitting and welding components to a high standard
Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards
About You
We are looking for someone with previous fabrication and welding experience who can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
Essential:
Previous experience in a fabrication/welding environment
Good MIG welding skills
MMA welding experience
Experience fabricating steelwork
A good eye for detail and pride in your workmanship
Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
Experience working with aluminium
Experience in architectural steelwork
Welding qualifications/codings
Experience fabricating staircases, balustrades and handrails
Ability to read technical/fabrication drawings
