Job Role of the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a large–scale, highly automated manufacturing facility within a globally recognised organisation. This site has recently seen significant investment and offers a modern, open–plan production environment with excellent long–term career prospects.

Working as part of a small, skilled night engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high–quality planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across complex production lines. This is a key role focused on maximising equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

The site operates advanced, high–speed processes including chemical handling, heating, and precision manufacturing, offering engineers exposure to specialist equipment within a COMAH–regulated environment.

Non–Negotiable Requirements of the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance experience within a manufacturing or forces backgroundLevel 3 in Engineering or above Requirements for the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Strong fault–finding and diagnostic skillsExperience with PPM systems and continuous improvementUnderstanding of Health & Safety regulations within manufacturingEngineering qualification (apprentice trained or equivalent) Desirable Requirements for the Night Shift Maintenance Engineer

Experience working in a COMAH or highly regulated environmentExposure to high–speed or automated production linesBasic electrical fault–finding capabilityExperience using CMMS systems The Night Shift Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:
