Forklift Driver / Machine OperatorOldbury Permanent/Full TimeAbout the RoleWe are recruiting for a reliable and hands-on Forklift Driver / Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team in Oldbury.This is a varied role combining forklift driving, machine operation and general production duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a practical manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for operating a Counterbalance Forklift, moving materials around the site and, importantly, operating specialist cutting machinery as part of the production process. Full training will be provided on the machinery, although previous experience of operating production or cutting machinery would be highly advantageous.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a Counterbalance Forklift to move materials and finished products.Load and unload deliveries.Move and supply materials to production areas.Operate cutting and production machinery safely and efficiently - training will be provided.Identify and report any issues with machinery or production.Ensure materials are correctly positioned and available for production.Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.Work to production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all timesWhat We're Looking ForValid Counterbalance Forklift Licence - essential.Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.Previous experience operating machinery is highly desirable.Experience with cutting machinery would be advantageous.Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.Good attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions.Reliable, punctual and hardworking, positive attitude with a willingness to learn new machinery and processes.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.What's on OfferPermanent, full-time position.Full training provided on the specialist machinery.Opportunity to develop machine operating and manufacturing skills.Varied role combining forklift driving and production.Supportive working environment.Long-term career prospects.Working HoursMonday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:15pmFriday: 8:30am - 4:15pm
