Role: Laminator Operator

Location: Slough, Berkshire

Salary/Rate: £13.50/hour

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of closure liners and flexible packaging for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, health care, personal care, household and industrial applications.

About the Position

The Laminator operator role is part of the client production team and will work on machines allocated by the shift supervisor. The operator will run the machines, following the planned production schedule, on a shift rotation.

To operate machinery to bond different layers of material (like film, foil, or paper) together, ensuring high-quality, defect-free flexible packaging for products.

Main Duties:

* Machine Operation & Setup: Adjusting, feeding, and operating laminating machines (e.g., sheet-to-sheet or reel-to-reel) according to technical specifications.

* Quality Control:Inspecting materials for defects like wrinkles, bubbles, or poor bonding (delamination).

* Material Preparation:Selecting and loading the correct films, adhesives, and substrates.

* Adhesive Management:Monitoring glue application and conducting daily glue ratio checks.

* Maintenance & Safety: Performing routine preventative maintenance, cleaning rollers/sensors, and strictly adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

* Good housekeeping and keeping workstation clean.

Required Skills:

* Proven experience in operating laminating machinery, preferably in flexible packaging or printing.

* Ability to monitor complex, high-speed processes for minor flaws.

* Recording production data, material usage, and quality checks accurately.

* Capability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Rotating Shifts: 10.00pm - 6.00am (Monday - Friday) / 6.00am – 2.00pm (Monday – Friday)

Rates of Pay: £13.50 per hour, Overtime Rate £14.00 per hour. xjnqpsq Paid weekly and immediate start. This is a temporary to permanent position for the successful candidate
