Labels Coater/Finishing Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Labels Coater / Finishing Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operative looking to join a stable business offering long-term career progression.

The Role

As a Labels Coater / Finishing Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining coating and rewinding machinery to ensure the production of high-quality label products. You will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, quality standards and health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Setting up and operating coating and rewinding machinery

Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required

Carrying out routine quality checks and inspections

Recording production data accurately

Performing basic maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting tasks

Supporting production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives

Loading and unloading materials and ensuring correct stock handling

Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience operating coating, slitting, rewinding or similar converting machinery

Alternatively, strong mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic numerical skills and the ability to complete production records accurately

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Practical approach to maintenance and fault finding

Desirable

Experience within labels, packaging, print finishing or manufacturing environments

Knowledge of manufacturing health and safety procedures

Experience using production systems or digital reporting tools

Relevant machine operating or engineering qualifications/training

Working Hours

This is a full-time permanent position working rotating shifts between 6:00am and 10:00pm.

Salary

£32,000 per annum. xjnqpsq
