We re currently seeking a Fitter Fabricator to join our maintenance team. This hands–on role is key to ensuring the performance and safety of our kiln car systems the critical transport units that move bricks in and out of our kilns and dryers.

Location: Ewhurst Full–Time Permanent

Monday to Friday, 7:30am 4:30pm (40 hours/week) Client offers flexibility for you to start earlier or later if you choose to

GBP35,000 GBP37,000 per year (including allowances and bonuses)

What You ll Be Doing

Working as part of a dedicated team, you ll become a specialist in your area with full training provided. Your duties will include:

Repairing and maintaining steelwork and main frames of kiln carsPerforming basic welding and tackingStraightening kiln car decks and replacing damaged refractory blocksMaintaining stock levels of key materialsRepairing and greasing kiln car axles and wheelsStripping and rebuilding kiln car refractory structuresConducting running repairs and lubricationRecording material usage and maintaining accurate stock/repair recordsMaintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety What We re Looking For

We re looking for someone who enjoys hands–on, physical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You ll also need:

Basic welding and fabrication experienceThe ability to read and interpret fabrication engineering drawingsA flexible, team–oriented attitude with a willingness to learnPrevious experience in a factory or manufacturing environmentGood general safety awareness and a commitment to safe working practicesPhysical fitness to perform manual tasks regularly Ideal background: Welder Fabricator, Mechanical Fitter, Sheet Metal Worker, Grinder, Maintenance Fitter, maintenance engineer plater / plating or Trailer Body Builder.
