Despatch Release Inspector

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Release Inspector to join our clients busy and fast–paced manufacturing environment. This is a key role responsible for ensuring all products meet the required standards and specifications before release to customers.

Benefits:

Starting rate: 13.51 per hour – rate per hour will increase once fully trainedLocation: Sheffield S9Work Days/Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am – 4:00pm/Thursday: 6:00am – 3:30pm with Fridays off37.5 hours per weekContract: permanentThe Role

As a Despatch Release Inspector, you will play a critical role in quality assurance and compliance. You will ensure that all products are checked thoroughly and released only when they meet strict customer, documentation, and export requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Following customer work instructions and documentation requirements accuratelyVerifying that all parts meet required standards before releaseEnsuring full traceability of products and documentationMaintaining export and shipping recordsUsing internal systems to process and release workIdentifying and segregating non–conforming items or those requiring further actionLiaising with internal teams and shipping agents where required About You/Criteria:

This role requires a logical, methodical, and detail–oriented individual. It's important that you are comfortable working in a structured environment where accuracy and consistency are essential.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a thorough and organised approach to workIs confident asking questions and seeking clarity when neededCan work independently with minimal supervisionHas strong numerical and communication skillsIs comfortable using Microsoft Office and computer–based systemsIdeally has experience in a manufacturing or despatch environmentPrevious experience in quality inspection preferredKnowledge of export documentation or shipping processesExperience working with traceability systems and route cardsFamiliarity with ERP or despatch management systemsHigh level of attention to detailNaturally methodical and a structured thinkerCalm and composed under pressureWhy Apply?
